If you think there should be a skater included that is not, please feel free to drop me an email and I'll consider it. If you are one of these champion skaters and find that I have listed records in error, or you hate the picture, or you want to summarize your skating experiences for inclusion in the index, let me know. Submissions are gratefully welcome.
How the Index is Set Up: Skaters are listed Last Name first, followed by their First. Most of the women are listed by their Maiden Name followed by their (then) Married Name. When in doubt, search under Maiden. As of this moment, skating couples are not listed in any particular order (i.e.. female name first). I just followed what SKATE Magazine had them listed as. If you cannot find a couple, try the Search Feature.
From: Where the skater(s) was from (or where their rink is). If known.
Pro: Who instructed the skater(s). May be more than one.
Rink: Where the skater(s) skated, or the art club they belonged to.
National Titles: Any National competitions skater(s) have won. Listed by date. Note: Skaters do not have to win Nationals to win at Worlds.
Misc: Any noteworthy events; World Championships, Pan Am Games, National Sports Festivals, Speed Skating events. Any former National titles with other partners. Any extraordinary stories of courage.. etc.
Comments: Blurbs about the skating.
Photos: I claim no rights to the photos on this website. I am not connected with the USARS or any other roller skating governing body. The photos are exclusively SKATE Magazine's. Unfortunately I have not seen any of them posted anywhere on the Net. I use them only for the purpose of sharing them with fans of competitive roller skating who may have tossed away their magazine collections or who may never have seen them at all.
